Need help with Sony Media Player N100 US transcoding

Hi all:

I have a Sony Media Player N100 US device and I am trying to set up Serviio's transcoding to force MKV files into viewable XVid/AVI formats. I've searched here for an answer and have tried to implement what I've read, but still no luck.

Can someone help me out with working transcoding information to insert into the config.xls file? (By the way, I'm running Serviio Pro 1.5.1.) Your help is greatly appreciated.

I see that profile twice in my Profiles.xml

<Profile id="bdp2010" name="Sony BDP-Sx70/SMP-N100 (2010)" extendsProfileId="bdp2012">

and this one right after it

I guess I didn't make my question/request clear. Yes, there is an existing entry for the SMP N100 (US) in the existing profiles.xml file. And it works very well when playing back AVI files encoded with XviD.

However, it refuses to play files encoded as MKV. I am looking for a way to force Serviio into transcoding these files into XviD format so they will play.

In reading through the debug.log file, I found the reason behind my problems trying to transcode .MKV files.

It really helps if you point the transcoder to an existing drive.

Chalk up another "loose screw behind the keyboard" error.
