Low Voices and Loud Music?

Hi,

I'm running serviio server to play movies from a Samsung Smart TV ES7500. Everything works very well except one aspect: When I play some movies, I often get the track sound with a lot of volume for the fx effects and music, but very low volume for the voices.

I know the problem comes from trying to play 6 channels sound tracks in a stereo TV (I suffered before playing ACC tracks in a computer).

I was wondering if it is possible to fix this annoying thing. Right now I have the transcoding disabled in the server configuration, so I guess the DTS sound is sent directly to the TV...

Any advice? Will the sound improve if I enable the transcoding? "Keep original" or "Downmix to stereo" option?

try Downmix to stereo - but it'll only work for files that have to be transcoded. For those that the device plays natively you won't see any difference.

Is it possible to always transcode the file and only change the audio track (downmix to stereo) but leave the video as-is?
