HW Requirments

Hello,

I'd like to ask how resource heave is transcoding video (and embleming subtitles). Specifically, will NAS with 1,2GHz and 512MB RAM be able to deal with 1080p video (let's say 10.000 kb/s). If not, what approximately is the best quality it could do.

I'll assume ARM as I don't think x86 goes that low (mainstream anyways).
Doubt you'll be able to transcode any HD materials. At 512MB of RAM I would be surprised if ffmpeg would transcode SD without crashing samba.
