RTSP streaming from IP camera

I'm very new to this subject so I hope I'm at least in the correct forum. I have spent the last few days looking at Serviio on a Windows PC with a view to installing it on a Ubuntu 14.04 server. I have a D-Link IP camera with outputs an RTSP feed which I'd like to convert to RTMP or HTTP so that I can publish it on a web page (ideally HTTP so that I can view it on IOS too). I've managed to install the Serviio console and configure the camera feed which I can then view on a DLNA device. The next step is to take the Serviio output and display it on a web page (or VLC as a test).
I suppose my first question is can Serviio do what I'm trying to do and if so, can someone give me some guidance please 'cos I'm pretty much stuck now.
