Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.4 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Hey guys...
Getting a lot of problems with my second attempt on serviio with my qnap ts212.
Installed jre fine, installed Serviio 1.4.1.2 Revision 1 fine too.
When opening serviio console it takes about 40 seconds just to open. When I try to save something it gives me an error "Error: timeout HTTP response code:0 timeout"

My log claims two errors:
WARN [ServiioStatusService] ConversionException occured. Returning error code 500 to the REST layer. Message: Zero length string : Zero length string
WARN [FFMPEGWrapper] FFmpeg is not compiled with libass support, rendering subtitles (hardsubs) will not work.

Any insights?

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.4 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Ok... After a lot of trials, I narrowed it to an incompatibility with download station. If I enable it, serviio no longer works (no streaming, WebUI is slow and non responsive 99%).
Anyone figured this one out?
It does not seem to be an hardware limitation since both CPU and memory are mostly free (I don't use transcoding)...

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.4 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Been so busy with working double shifts and World Cup, i will look at this further.

My Serviio on my ARM has been running solid, web ui working fine. BTW subtitles are not enabled in ARM as the chip cannot handle transcoding video.
I'll do a new guide and make sure all the links work

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.4 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Since QNAP provide their own JRE builds from the AppCentre, all new Serviio QPKG builds will support this.
Manual ARM installer can be found here - http://www.qnap.com/i/uk/app_center/con ... key=319496

Im made a new revision to support the Qnaps JRE_ARM package, no more need to manually install JRE

This model uses different type of cpu, check the qnap forums how to mod a QPKG.
I'm in the process of a big house move. My server is still in boxes :(

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.4 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Hi All,

I have spending days trying to get Serviio to work on my Qnap TS-212 and am really hoping you guys can give me a hand to get this working.

I am on QNAP firmware version 4.0.2.

So far:

1. Have installed JRE_ARM 8.0.1 from QNAP App Center
2. Installed Serviio V1.4.1.2-R2
3. When I goto the Serviio console page, it's really slow and in the serviio.log file it's saying:
[ServiioStatusService] NoClassDefFoundError occured. Returning error code 500 to the REST layer. Message: Could not initialize class org.serviio.config.Configuration

This is an extract from the log file:

And when I access serviio via nasip/serviio I am getting the following messages:

I've tried the following but it hasn't made a difference:

1. Chmod 777 /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/Serviio/web_ui
2. Chmod 777 /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/Serviio/opt/bin

Could someone please help me troubleshoot this?

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,
Raj.

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.4 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

This sometimes happens when you first install Serviio or restart your NAS. I use the app Qmanager to sort this.

If u get errors, turn off Serviio in app centre, wait a minute and switch it on.

Works every time

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.4 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Thanks Xmantium! That fixed that up as I can login and it's a lot quicker accessing the console. However, the service doesn't seem to be starting and when I add a library location and save, it says that it's saved but if I go back to the tab, the folder location is not there anymore.
Also intermittently, it gives me an error saying 'Error: timeout HTTP Response Code: 0 timeout'

What can I check? This is what the log shows:

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.4 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Hmm... not sure why you can't add folders.

Maybe it's the web ui, can you use the Windows console or android app instead -
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=17123#p92576

If that doesn't work can you do a fresh install, make sure is the ARM version.

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.4 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Tried the following:

1. Connecting with the existing Serviio Console on my laptop (as I have another Serviio server instance running) after changing the C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin\ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions file and adding the line -Dserviio.remoteHost=192.168.0.2/serviio
The console won't even open after adding the line.

2. With the Android app, it automatically picks up my laptop instance and when I manually add 192.168.0.2/serviio and try to connect, I get the error HTTP Code: 404

3. I've re-installed Serviio again using the following qpkg - Serviio_1.4.1.2-R2_arm-x19.qpkg and tried 1 and 2 again without any luck.

:(

What do I do now?

Merry Xmas and thanks for your help and quick responses!

Please follow the instructions properly.

It's Dserviio.remoteHost=192.168.0.2, not Dserviio.remoteHost=192.168.0.2/serviio

Android app, don't add the /serviio

To all QNAP users, unfortunately I won't be building Serviio 1.5 package if it launches end of this month.
I've just moved to a new build house, won't have internet till 15th January 2015

So with ServiiDroid, I get the message:

'Failed to open a connection to a server

I've connected to the qnap via winscp and I have made sure that the serviio server is started. It's just a matter of connecting to the damn thing.

Open your ports 23423 on your router

Read your router manual to do this

Howdy! Can someone tell me if I can install Serviio onto my TS-251 that I just bought after my home media server died?

I have been using Serviio for years on my media server, have now moved to a Qnap NAS.

I think the issue lies in the startup script, by going in the app centre, on Serviio, switch off, wait 30 seconds, switch on Serviio, always works.
