wake on lan experience
I have wake on lan working well for serviio and a dedicated laptop I use to stream video off the internet on demand.
I can't get wake on lan to work for anything else. Only Serviio using DLNA from my renderer.
Bios and device settings are as required for wake on lan. Ports 7 and 9 UDP have been opened and forwarded and ignored to no effect. My router has a wake on lan setting where I can match a netbios name with a mac address, to no effect except Serviio apparently. The router even has a special wake this mac address right now feature that doesn't wake up the laptop. It won't wake up locally or using DDNS names. I have tried numerous programs from sourceforge and live from various sites to no effect.
Only Serviio via DLNA from my renderer wakes my computer ... immediately.
What do you do that is different?
