Just to let you know i tried all possibilities on the console for the subtitles and they are not being taken, when i disable any kind of subtitles on the console the embebed stays on the WDTV still doesnt show the srt file as option

Ok, I will make a change for 1.3.1 to revert to the behaviour in 1.2.1.

You cannot transcode to MKV.

Re: WD Live TV Plus Subtitles Issue with 1.3 version

Hey Zip thanks for the support but seems that serviio is not for me :´( . I made a mistake, after some research i found out that the srt files were not even playing on 1.2.1 they were spanish subtitles embebed on the movie, after the research found out next.

WD TV Live doesnt support srt files over DLNA... so it wont work no matter what i think.
My Samsung TV or Bluray doest support Embebed subtitles only SRT

So unfortunately to have both i will need to go back as i was having my hard drive connected directly to the WD TV Live. i research and seems that neither samsung 2013 tvs play embebed subtitles so i will need to check what other options i have, i will keep serviio for music and images but unfortunately for movies it wont work as i want.

Thanks for your support.

AFAIK WDTV live does support external srt files. Not sure if they broke it in some recent firmware.

Re: WD Live TV Plus Subtitles Issue with 1.3 version

it does support it when the mkv and srt file are attached as hard drive but not via dlna, i have heard this from different forums and also tested a couple of more Media servers like serviio on none of them worked.
Hard drive/usb/network share works fine and srt is readable but no over DLNA

On Plex forums they are saying the same :(
