Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

is there any svn or git repo where anyone can develop with?

I would like to take over a part of the further development, but it should not result in fragmentation or two developers do the same...

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Hi guys,

i already made some required amendments so that the transcoding tab works with version 1.21 again due to the changed API. That was really a pain in the ... :D What's also missing are the subtitle properties from the latest versions.

Not sure how I can hook in but I will send Mark a PM.

Cheers!

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

The best way would be to fork the repo, commit your changes to your fork, and then create a pull request for Mark to merge them back into his. That way other users can clone your repo in the mean time. Depending on how much time Mark is going to have, he may be open to switching to a github organisation with write access given to a few users to help ensure it is kept upto date with changes to Serviio. I'm a member of a github organisation for a different open source project I contribute to and it works quite well.

There are a few more changes other than transcoding/subtitles, the bound ip field has been replaced, new remote settings, and the http status code is no longer in the response, you have to read it from the header.

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Ok, did a fork and send a pull request to Mark. I'm new to git but I think I'll get used to it :D

https://github.com/SwoopX/Web-UI-for-Serviio

I'll see if I can get more stuff to work but I'm not a web programmer but good at reverse engineering. Looks like a new challenge here. Btw, Ive read all the changes at the header but the transcoding fix was the most important one for me.

Hello, i have downloaded this version from this site (https://github.com/SwoopX/Web-UI-for-Serviio) and get this Web-UI-for-Serviio-master.zip. And when i copy this (bevor, i have clear my cache and delete the old webui) and open this new webui and go to "Delivery". It hang. I use the german translation. Is this an error?

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Thanks to some awesome work by Swoop, WebUI is now fully compatible with 1.2 and above. I've updated the Wiki to reflect the latest code.

Who says open source isn't alive! Big cheers for Swoop!

Blessings to all,
Mark

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Thanks Mark!

Will also try to maintain the code because I hate it if things don't work the way I want :D

However, I still know about two issues:

- New library entries can't be added after Pro Evaluation license has expired
- Renderers are not removed while being selected and the "remove" button has been pressed.

@zip: Are those valid restrictions?

Thanks!

There is no such restriction on the server side.

- Renderers are not removed while being selected and the "remove" button has been pressed.

Looks like UI bug.

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Just made the Thecus NAS module...

Backend Serviio 1.2.1 and front end php ui 1.4beta
apache 2.2 + PHP 5.3.19 + OracleJRE6

Serviio is well launch in process

but web interface keep tell me that the Serviio status is not launched (stay in red) even if i start it manually.

adding files in library failed once select and saved, nothing display in the list... (may be due that server is diplay as not launched)

I tried with Chrome and Firefox, same issue.

I will still propose the remote version to Thecus users, until this was fix :(

I will try to tweak with Apache 2.4.4, but i have no hope.

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Thanks for the update Mark and Swoop! Working well.
I use ServiiDB alot, ive added alot more content to the database, was hoping this bug could be fixed in the web UI - https://github.com/mpemberton5/Web-UI-f ... o/issues/7

Theres been big changes to ServiiDB to make adding sources easier, all plugins are in catergories. The best internet sources are from custom Serviio plugins.
Ive done a mockup of what the new Serviio API can look like on Web UI rather than having a search, similar to ServiiDroid [Screenshot] and ServiiMetro [Screenshot] is doing with new API

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Hi Xmantium,

I might give it a shot within the next days. As I personally don't use ServiiDB, I got exactly zero experience with that

Can you elaborate further on the bug you've described? Are the sources addedd automatically as RSS and you later need to edit it accordingly? Is maybe a category parameter somewhere to be found?

Thx
Swoop
