PACKAGE: Serviio for ReadyNAS (Intel x86)

Hi there,

Image

I created a package with
Serviio 1.0.1 version
the package also contain JRE - Java 1.7.0_07.
No WEBUI in "stable" version.

Download here
Also you need FFMpeg package for ReadyNAS

Comments are welcome.
PS..Its my first addon for ReadyNAS. I have never used Serviio before.

UPDATE v0.3:
Sorry for v0.3 there was integration only of WEBUI. But in clean install there was no PHP module in Apache.
If you have PHP module already installed, Web UI must working correctly. Link to download

UPDATE v0.4.0:
I am testing new solution with WebUI. It working correctly on my installation and on clean (factory reset) installation.
New package/update only if needed will install - PHP5 packages and specific configuration file to current web server of ReadyNAS.

But make sure to have the EnableRootSSH add-on installed before installing new versio of add-on. If something goes wrong, i can explain how u can fix it.

New version is here. (0.4.0)

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.0.1 for ReadyNAS (Intel x86)

Hi. Installed (I already have Ffmpeg) but does not seem to activate. Also will need some idea of how you have setup where it looks for the media files.

This thread may help http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5910

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.0.1 for ReadyNAS (Intel x86)

Thx for reply.

In this package there is no webUI for the moment. You can use Serviio Console on your Desktop.
First install Serviio Console from desktop installation package, and add line
  Code:
-Dserviio.remoteHost=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

to C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin\ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions

Path to shares ("Add path..." button) : /c/media/Videos for example.

I tested addon with factory reset (4.2.22) on my Ultra 4, it seems to work properly.

You have the following options as the web ui's don't support uploading a license:
1) Use the official console on your pc and point it to your NAS
2) Use ServiiDroid
3) Use this method from your NAS viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5330&p=50586#p50586

Hi, I just tried your new bin file. By the way, the bin file v.0.3 has the same name as your original file?
Anyway, when clicking on the "open web console" both firefox and ie want to save or open a php file. Basically it does not know what to do with the file?
Any ideas?

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.0.1 for ReadyNAS (Intel x86)

spoke to early. after initial install, i could see some video files and play them successfully. What i did not realize is that most of my folders and files are missing.
no matter what i add to the shared folders screen through the webui, no media files show up on my players. tested iphone, xbox and tv.

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.0.1 for ReadyNAS (Intel x86)

okey...it was unknown problem with permission in ffmpeg addon. Reinstallation of ffmpeg resolved a problem.

In next release i think i'll try to recompile ffmpeg and add to package of Serviio

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.0.1 for ReadyNAS (Intel x86)

yes - with immediate help from koffer and going through the logs he found it was an ffmpeg issue. I think when i tried to upgrade to v1.3 if broke something. a uninstall/install for ffmpeg worked perfectly. thanks again to koffer and by the way, anyone with serviio and readynas - this is a perfect match! very nicely done koffer. :D
thanks for all your great help.

Hi Koffer, just another update, but with the Presentation tab in the webui, making changes and pressing the save button does NOT save the settings. Not sure you can replicate this behaviour?

We had this same problem with QNAP NAS boxes too - here is a solution - viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5330&start=180#p56821

Your ReadyNAS php.ini is defaulted to "On"
Sony Bravia 2010 52NX803 - Sony PS3 - Xbox 360
Serviio running on QNAP NAS 639 Pro - 1.6 Intel Dual Core - 2GB RAM and QNAP NAS 121 - 2Ghz ARM Marvell - 1GB RAM
Console using ServiiDroid for Android, ServiiMetro and ServiiWP for Windows Phone and WebUI for iOS

Thaknx Koffer for all this time on this Serviio package!!

I installed it since ver 0.1 and can't get the transcoding to work.

I really need to know where are the log files to help me understand what's wrong.

thx!
