when stream online CNN channel, "Not supported file format"

Hi,

I just got a new Samsung PN51D550, I add online channels from http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=live_stream_folders, only "Live News" have channels. but for all the channels I got "Not supported file format" message. my Serviio version is 0.6.1. Can anybody help me ?

Just updated the wiki..only news works and cnn is offline so you will get that message. All the links in the others have been changed by the provider and i am in the process of upgrading them and creating a complete on-line library. Stay tuned.

I have a Samsung BD-P3600. I've copied the LiveFeeds.groovy to the plugins directory and added the News Feeds RSS (https://sites.google.com/site/serviiors ... s_News.rss), All feeds show on the TV menu however none of them will work, they all give "Not Supported Video Codec error. Is this related to your current updating or is it something else? I was under the impression that only CNN wasn't working.

none of them will work, they all give "Not Supported Video Codec error.

This indicates a Serviio transcoding or profile problem to me. If the stream has gone dark you will get a "Not supported file format" message not bad codec. Make sure that you can setup and play a working live stream in Serviio before you try and play them thru the RSS.

That is what is so weird .. I get the 5 min top stories fine, but not the live feed...I went to cnn on my laptop and watched some of trhe debate..

I will try again tonight.. I am upgrading the ubuntu box to latest version -- maybe that will clear up a few items..

I don't know the link to the 5 minute stories but the live feed link in the rss is dark (CNN is not sending that stream out right now) so thats why you can't get it. Nothing strange about it, they are different streams.

These are prerecorded clips not live streams. apples and oranges. The rss are always available but the live stream is currently dark.
