Certain files won't play on S370, and file title question

I recently bought a SONY BDP-S370 and installed Serviio 5.2 on my Windows XP PC. I'm also using the correct profile "Sony BD Player"

I've got a couple of questions:

1)I have several files that have Japanese letters in their file titles, and Serviio doesn't want to add those. Do I just need to rename my files to all english in order for it to recognize it, or is there an "easier" way?

2) Some of my files are coming up as unplayable. They look like plain old DIVX .avi's to me, so I ran ffmpeg on a some and was hoping maybe you'd know what's going on and if it's something I can fix.
Here's four of them. There's several others but I figured maybe fixing one or two of these would be able to help fix them all.

Re: Certain files won't play on S370, and file title questio

I have not heard anything about trouble with japanese lettering for file name. If you do decide to do a rename, under the third party tools forum is a good renamer that will let you rename alot of files fast and is pretty flexible.

Honestly, I thought the first time I set it all up the files with Japanese characters in the file name showed up. But since then I've had to do a reinstall and get things kosher with my firewall, and now they're not there. (Or maybe they never were - my memory is shoddy)

Okay, so I renamed some to english and they started to show up on my S370. Not one of them plays though. They all get a corrupted or unsupported error.

I grabbed one and ran ffmpeg on it and got:

Re: Certain files won't play on S370, and file title questio

non-latin file names should be fixed in 0.6

the file might not be playing because of

  Code:
Invalid and inefficient vfw-avi packed B frames detected

Re: Certain files won't play on S370, and file title questio

Any ideas on how to fix that? I've been googling the error and found a lot of people with that in their logs, but none of them seem to have the same problem I do, nor do they really get any answers as to what the problem means.
