Sony NX713 ok but PS3 connection problems

Hi, new around here and pretty new to DLNA and servers etc so please be gentle with me

I have a wireless n Netgear 834B router, and everything is connected via a wireless network.

I have a Sony Vaio laptop running Serviio and connection to my Sony NX713 is absolutely brilliant, I can stream movies (Divx file extension but shown as MPEG 2?), MP3's and look at all my photos no problem.

I also have a Sony PS3, it can be seen in the Serviio status tab, although the indicator is amber, and the Serviio icon can be accessed on the PS3. I can access all the files as per the TV but keep losing connection or have a DLNA problem with the message DLNA protcol error 2104.

Any ideas what could be wrong and how I can fix it?

Can you post your serviio log? It can be found in the directory that you installed Serviio in under the log Folder.

Serviio correctly recognised both the PS3 and the NX713 and assigned them the right profile.

How is your network configured? Are you trying to stream HD or SD? If you are connected wirelessly you could have alot of problems streaming HD.

If you are connecting via wireless, you might be able to increase your connection and let your network better by looking at this thread.

I'm not even trying to stream I was just trying to copy some images over to the PS3.

I have in the past, on a free trial , wirelessly streamed films to my TV from lovefilms.com without any problems, even HD content with maybe the odd little stutter.

I have run the software you have suggested and have a very good connection and have channels 6 + 10 all to myself, my one neighbour using channel one. The only thing it has thrown up which I'm not familiar with is the privacy type being RSNA-CCMP, will have to look that one up.

I have however just had a message pop up on my TV:
' Access to the media server is not allowed. It is possible that the system name for this PS3 system, "PS3-153" has not been registered.
Check the settings for the media server. '
This may be because I stopped and restarted Serviio even though I had waited to make sure it was running on my TV.

Having been scouring the internet, I'm wondering whether this may be a PS3 connection issue. Not found any answers or fixes though.
