Fast Forward / Rewind Not Working

I have a Sony BDV-T58 home theater (DB w/ 3D), and the latest version of Serviio. I'm using the "Sony BD Player" profile. My video library consists solely of M4V files.

Whenever I attempt to fast forward or rewind, the video merely starts over from the beginning. I've read through some of the postings here, and this seems related to transcoding. Since it supports M4V via USB, I figured I'd try the generic profile, which I could have sworn I remembered (probably incorrectly) working with the Sony at first, but in any case, it doesn't now, saying there are no valid video files in whatever folder I navigate to.

Is this solvable by chance?

I am not sure if it is the same on your setup, but on my Samsung BD player you use the left and right buttons instead of the bluray fastforward buttons.

Re: Fast Forward / Rewind Not Working

I checked, but unfortunately, no go on the Sony. Strangely, when I was trying that a bit ago, attempting to fast-forward returned it to the 00:00:13 mark vs. 00:00:00.

Hopefully I'll manage to get or find a solution.
