Stuttering audio when streaming to 40EX503U

Hi
I am streaming from serviio on Linux to Sony 40EX503U. The dialog is obviously out of sync with the video and there is stuttering. This is with my avi files shot on a digicam and also an mpeg4 file ripped from DVD using handbrake. I downloaded a test mpeg4 trailer and it streams OK. Both the avi and the ripped mpeg4 play perfectly on the laptop itself.

Any help with this appreciated.

For the mpeg4 file:

Re: Stuttering audio when streaming to 40EX503U

Try with changing the aBitrate option (from 384 to 192) on the Sony Bravia profile.
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="ac3" aBitrate="192">
Restart serviio service after modification on profile

Could you post ffmpeg -i result of your digicam avi file?

Re: Stuttering audio when streaming to 40EX503U

Changing the bitrate solved the problem with the avi files. However the problem persists with the mpeg4 file and has made no difference.

Here is the ffmpeg output for an avi file in case you still need it.

Thanks.

Try by changing all others aBitrate option on Sony Bravia profile with : aBitrate="192"

Unfortunately I already did that. I did a global search and replace in the profiles.xml file for 384 and I replaced it with 192. Anything else I can try?

This is probably due to HandBrake 0.9.5 encoding settings. There were some similar problem with Handbrake:

Re: Stuttering audio when streaming to 40EX503U

I ripped another disc. Same result under serviio. I then tried changing some settings in handbrake - no difference. I then copied all the rips to another machine running windows media player and all the videos stream flawlessly. No audio sync issues. It seems like handbrake is not to blame. I don't want to give up just yet, especially as I am running Ubuntu- do you have any more suggestions?

Thanks again!
Andrew.

Didn't work. Thanks for trying. fyi PS3 media server on the same machine works OK. Not sure what the problem is.
