Customizable Metadata-Based Folders under "Presentation"

Would it be possible to introduce two or three additional customizable folders under "Presentation" in a future version of Serviio?
The idea is to allow users to define which existing metadata tags should be used to automatically organize their media library.

For example:

One folder could list all detected authors.
Another folder could list all actors.
Another could organize content by tracks, genres, albums, or any other available metadata tags.
Ideally, users would be able to select the desired metadata attribute for each folder from a list of available tags.


An additional feature that would make this even more powerful would be the ability to combine two metadata attributes within a single folder.

For example:

Attribute 1: Actor (used for grouping)
Attribute 2: Genre = Action (used as a filter)
This would result in a folder structure listing all actors who appear in movies belonging to the Action genre.

In other words, users could choose one metadata attribute for grouping and optionally use a second attribute to filter the results.

The main idea is to make better use of the metadata that Serviio already extracts, giving users much greater flexibility in how they browse and organize their media libraries, without having to modify the actual media files.

The basic functionality could already be very useful on its own, while the ability to combine two attributes would be a great additional enhancement.

Actors, Directors and Producers are all there now. Just be aware that they are in alphabetical order, and some titles will have dozens of actors listed, so perusing the lists for a single actor can be a bit tedious.

Your ideas have merit, but I have no clue how difficult it might be to code, and of course the user interface in the console might become exceeding complex.

I understand your concerns, especially regarding the complexity of the user interface.

My intention was not to suggest a completely new or complicated metadata management system, but rather a simple way to make better use of the metadata that Serviio already provides.

Perhaps just two or three additional customizable presentation folders, each with a simple dropdown menu to select the desired metadata tag.

The option to combine two attributes would simply be the icing on the cake, not an essential requirement.

Of course, I have no idea how much development effort this would involve. I just thought it might be a useful addition for users with larger media libraries.
