2024-12-01 -- MediaBrowser issues

MediaBrowser makes CPU go to 100 percent when watching videos.
(described in detail in another document).

When a "search" is requested, the results are presented in a tiled (grid) fashion.
There does not appear to be a list view like your other screens.
I would need this becaused I want to see the full name of the file containing the matched media.
I do not care about the thumbnail, it is just eye candy to us.
Just another option on the search results page would address this.

Re: 2024-12-01 -- MediaBrowser issues

I've already responded to the CPU issue.

In MediaBrowser, there doesn't appear to be any setting to change from grid view to list view. The settings in Presentation have no grid/list settings. The only way I've ever been able to change the way the files are listed is at the player end. There's no setting in Serviio to make any such changes. If you're seeing a list view on other devices, it's the device that is providing that view, not Serviio.

Once you've made a search in MediaBrowser (or actually within any folder or view), you can click the file and see the full file name. That's as close as you can get to getting a list view in MediaBrowser.

Re: 2024-12-01 -- MediaBrowser issues

That was not the focus of the problem.

The problem is in the Serviio MediaBrowser itself, there is a means to select the view when browsing lists of items. That is a good thing.
When you do a search, unsing the same prtogram, there is NOT a means to select the view (the same facility, just a different screen) on the screen that shows the results. That is the issue.
Is there a way to provide the same button on the search results page? We really have no use tor thumbs, we are looking for titles (file names).
That way, the displays would be consistant with each other.
Thank you imn advance.

Re: 2024-12-01 -- MediaBrowser issues

I'm not the developer, I just assist with moderating the forum. But I do remember that the developer had to change the player used in MediaBrowser (what was used previously was no longer supported), and I don't believe the functionality of the player itself can be modified. So we are stuck with the way it works.
