Mac - console wont add NAS folders

HI, Ive just changed from a PC to a mac, so needed to reinstall Serviio again.

My Synology NAS was also requesting a Java update from V7 to V8

I completed this, and installed the new version of Serviio om My Mac - V 10.11.3 El Capitain

I then went to add my NAS

I used the following syntax as per the Wikki SMB://192.168.1.250/Films

The Nas shows up in Finder, and can be accessed, but in the console all I get is a warning triangle with the message along the lines of

Disk not ready or accessible

Ive tried the local and start up mount suggestion in the Wikki, but still no joy,

Any Ideas ??

Quick update....

AV receiver sees both servers ...

Serviio - diskstation - NAS and shows folders but all are empty

Serviio - Mac shofs limited folders with films in them, but cannot access o play any of them

The mac link shows as +volumes in the console , but the NAS does not show at all

The Mac link is to a USB external hard drive on the mac

I will delete everything i thin and see if i can recall the NAS that way

OK did some further digging through the log

From wast i can see its because i have not specified the login password for the NAS ..


How do i do this in OSX?

Well that wasnt it either ...

All i can conclude is, its busted. my other stuff can either not see it on the NAS, or it can see it but cannot see any files on the NAS.

Running from the NAS says the server isnt running when it is ...

can we have V1.4 back for rollback please at least that worked

The Serviio deamon runs as a root user, so you need to make sure the NAS is accessible to this user. I'm not familiar with OSX drives mounting, so someone else will have to chip in with a tip.
