Serviio 1.6 on NAS (Synology) - Some files are not visible/p

Hi

I'm using Serviio 1.6 on NAS Synology 214Play and I found that I have some video files (mkv) invisible in library, both on my TV Samsung, some uPnP aplication on my Windows Phone, also using Media Browser.
Using VLC player on my PC (still file is on my NAS, not locally on PC), these files can be played correctly.

My question:
1. There is any filter implemented, cause I cannot see eg. unsupported file (it means some codec used in this specific mkv, /generally I can see the rest of mkv files/)?
I thought all files in the folder pointed as a source in library are visible on the list (maybe not all of them are supported and can be played, but are visible - am I wrong?
2. How can I check log file? i found only instrution for PC version (how to switch on log and check details. What about NAS version?

Serviio log is visible in the Package Center GUI. It's linked when you select the Serviio package. However, you may need to increase Serviio's default logging level. More info in the Serviio wiki. You will need to know your way around editing text files in Linux.

Re: Serviio 1.6 on NAS (Synology) - Some files are not visib

1) I have check log4j.xml file, and my setting is:
<param name="Threshold" value="DEBUG"/>
according to WIKI there should be:
<priority value="DEBUG"/>
There is a difference (param name="Threshold" instead of priority value) but I hope it is what should be.

2) Now from the log file after adding new file (a problematic one) I can see:
WARN [MetadataExtractionCoordinator] Skipping processing metadata for unsupported file (/file location) Message:Unknown video codec.

3) I analysed this file using MediaInfo; Below I put a result;

Can you help with this issue?

BR.

Re: Serviio 1.6 on NAS (Synology) - Some files are not visib

It is not exactly my case, I think so.
I don't have a problem with file playing, but the problem is one step before - I can't even see some of files/movies using Media Browser on my TV or Android/Windows Phone (problematic/pointed in log file as an example files are in the same directory where are all my videos but some of them are not listed from TV point of view ).

Any suggestion?

BTW. I edit profile.xml and I added string from pointed threat - unfortunatelly no results.

Re: Serviio 1.6 on NAS (Synology) - Some files are not visib

Hello, I'd like to bump that topic / having the same issue and to be clear the issue is: on synology NAS with version 1.6, mpeg-ts containers with HEVC streams are not being added to the library - the log only says metadata skipped due to unsupported codec. Apologies, am not familiar with the way serviio works but unless the library process uses profile.xml (I'm guessing it doesn't ?) then the solution proposed above doesn't work. Is there any way to work around that issue ?

Many thanks

Re: Serviio 1.6 on NAS (Synology) - Some files are not visib

This passes my test. Not sure if the Synology build wraps the ffmpeg command and does something to the output to make it invalid - perhaps @patters would know.
