Yes, both Samsung TVs will display the thumbnails. I was using a Samsung Blu Ray player, and it did not display thumbnails. My Panasonic TV and Sony boxes do not either. I also have a small Vizio TV that does not display thumbnails. I've only seen thumbnails on my Samsung TVs, the Roku boxes, and my son-on-law's LG 4K TV. Of course, there's a very large number of devices I've never seen, so don't take my statement to imply these are the only ones that show thumbnails.
