Serviio dropping on a Samsung 50h6203

I just bought this TV and the previous television worked fine with Serviio however Serviio seems to drop the connection to the TV part way through a movie. What are the correct profile settings and other configuration settings I should be thinking about on the network in order to make sure that the connection to the television does not drop?

What version of Serviio are you running? There's been a Samsung H profile for the last couple of versions. It still needs some tweaking, but overall works well on an H set I have. However, for the 4K sets (HU, JU, JS, etc.) there are significant issues with the profile that need changing. I've been trying to find some time to experiment, but just haven't found the time yet. :(

Re: Serviio dropping on a Samsung 50h6203

Similar problem here on a Samsung UE75H6470 (Serviio 1.5.2 / Windows 10).
Sometimes Network connection is lost and I have to switch off TV and turn it on again to find Serviio again.
I can enforce the error if I pause the film and push multiple times on pause again (which means forwarding the film step by step).
No difference if I use Samsung H profile or Generic DLNA profile (but using generic profile means TV does not recognise last scene when restarting).

Just a thought, but usually connection issues are network related, particularly if you are using Wi-Fi. Of course, your network may be rock solid and the problem lies elsewhere. Possibly a computer network card and/or driver issue.

Take a look in the Serviio log and see if you can spot anything unusual with a time stamp matching your lost connection. Since it does it on the generic profile, that leaves FFMPEG off the hook, since it's only used for transcoding and the generic profile does none.

It's also possible that Samsung has a problem with their firmware. I still have issues with my JU7100 with HDMI Control losing connection, and the ARC connection as well. Samsung hasn't really enamored me with their technical support.
