External SRT files not working with Samsung BD E-8500 PVR

Hi

can anyone advise how to get external .SRT subtitle files working with Samsung player BD E-8500 running with Serviio on Windows 7 (32) ?

No need to transcode on the Samsungs normally. Just use the Samsung E/F profile and name the file correctly. You might also run the file through some tools to fix the subtitles - see wiki.
