Sony Bravia 2010 and subtitles

LS,

I cannot get burned subtitles to work on my Sony Bravia 2010 model.

Situation :
Serviio 1.4.1.2 on Synology NAS.
In directory : MM821.avi and MM821.srt
I saved the MM821 in UTF-8 encoding.
I have all three checkboxes on subtitle page checked, (enable burned in = always).
When starting the video I shortly see the text subtitles appear in the output video.
But no actual subtitles appear.

I set debug mode and (my interpretation ?)
- Seviio sees the srt
- I do not see the subtitle(file) in the ffmpeg command.

Anything that I need to set additional ?

Kind regards

Herman

I got subtitles working on my Sony 2010 TV, was tricky using on my QNAP NAS as you have to copy the font files to make subtitles work

Try is on Windows to make sure it works, im sure it will, maybe something in your install thats causing the fault

The Synology package installs a free font and the configuration files. Try several different media files with subs to eliminate the possibility of a non-compliant srt file. Also read these tips:
http://www.serviio.org/index.php?option ... icle&id=33

...particularly try using Srtwiz.
