v1.2 Not Working for Me - Went Back to v1.1

Howdy-
Just FYI... v1.1 was working great for me. Decided to install v1.2 and my TV (Panasonic Viera TC-P50ST50) could no longer see the Serviio server. I restarted/rebooted the server (WHS2011) a couple times and manually bound the IP address from within Serviio but it still didn't work. In Serviio, my TV showed up with a green dot but the TV was still not seeing the server.

I re-downloaded v1.1 and installed that over 1.2. Now that I am back on 1.1, everything is working great again. Just wanted to share my experience! If you need to go back to v1.1 like I did, here's a link to download it:

http://download.serviio.org/releases/se ... -setup.exe

Thanks,

Re: v1.2 Not Working for Me - Went Back to v1.1

I posted something similar on the 'sony' threads - when I put 1.2 on yesterday, I could no longer see any of my MP4 files (episodes) - I could still see the folder placeholders as if it found the mp4s? - and I had been able to earlier that day on v1.1
so today I uninstalled v1.2, re-installed 1.1 and voila - my MP4 files all play again!

theres def. something wrong with v1.2
(please dont take this as unapreciation!)

For Sony devices make sure you assign the correct profile to your device under the console.

Re: v1.2 Not Working for Me - Went Back to v1.1

hi to all: i had the same experience with v1.2 no video file were recognized or found , only my music files were found and playable by my BDPs570. i tried different profiles as indicated here on the board but nothing. finally i got frustrated and uninstalled 1.2 and put back v1.1 . now all working as before. my question is ... is it me? i did not set up the console correctly with the correct DNLA profile for my unit? all thou i tried all the profiles listed for sony bd players and none of them worked. is there something else i should be entering or changing in the console? and what is my correct profile for this model BDPs570 ? bought on 2010 in the USA but now im in Chile ? thank you

Serviio version 1.2 is a disaster!
Sony Bluray player did not see any flv or mov video files at all, and avi files showed only wild pixel blocks.
Samsung Smart1 TV crashed and shut completely off when trying to play avi files.
I reinstalled version 1.1.

Thanks for a helpful feedback, providing information that would help us fix it :?

Posting the relevant sections of a log (debugging enabled) would help solve this for yourself and others. Please consider reinstalling 1.2 and posting the log.

As will already mentioned, Sony devices need manual profile selection (from the drop-down list in the console) as of version 1.2.
Using Serviio on Debian "Wheezy" with Xbox 360, Sony BDP-S370 & Panasonic E6.

Re: v1.2 Not Working for Me - Went Back to v1.1

For those people experiencing the issue with no playable content at all with Sony BDP devices since upgrading to Serviio 1.2 - please try deleting your renderer device completely from the Serviio Console status tab. Then power off your BDP and power it back on. Then refresh the Console window, pick the correct model in the drop down, then press the home button on your BDP remote control and navigate once more to the Serviio icon. This has fixed it for a few people who had this issue.

Re: v1.2 Not Working for Me - Went Back to v1.1

I had to do the same as topic starter.. after going with the 1.2, none of my devices (bluray, tv, phone, all Samsung) were able to detect the server. Server however was able to see my tv (as TS had mentioned, a green dot appeared). manually added firewallports as they disappeared after install, still no go.. reverted to 1.1 and everything is working again. I installed the 1.2 over the 1.1, did not try a fresh install.. didn't see a lot of changes though and as 1.1 was allways doing the job for me, i'll stick to 1.1 for now ;)

Does 1.2.1 fix the issues mentioned in this thread?
