Serviio Free plays files Serviio Pro will not?

As previously mentioned, I run Serviio to several XBox 360's.

I have a Windows Server 2012 Essentials box that houses most of the media, running Serviio Pro (upgraded recently). The Xboxes have trouble playing a lot of files from it lately, giving me the "not supported" message. I didn't get this message as much when the server ran Serviio Free.

I have a Windows 7 laptop that I use to re-encode media, running Serviio Free. The XBoxes will often play the same exact file just fine from Serviio Free on the laptop.

Usually re-encoding the media with Handbrake to Stereo will resolve the problem, although I think the re-encoding probably takes care of more than just the audio issues.

Both the server and laptop have DivX, VLC and Media Player Classic on them, but I don't believe there's anything else in the way of codec packs on either one. Is there some difference between the two Serviios, or do I need to make some tweaks to the server?

There is no difference between the Free and Pro versions in the playback functionality.

I have found the same behavior on 1.2 and xbox 360. It seems like the request takes a couple seconds to process on serviio side and xbox closes the connection in the meantime. Retrying works on 2nd attempt.

That's just my theory for now, i have not had a the time to investigate further.

I'll post logs when i have more concrete proof. This is random for me, it'll happen on couple files, but most work just as expected.

I have noticed this particular behavior with my SONY Bl-ray player. The Player has old data referencing the Serviio lib. When the Player is started or powered on it should update the Serviio server info, which gets skipped. In my case I have cycled the SONY power and or used the update server network to recover the information. Then the same file is read and played back fine. It is the client device code (in my case SONY) which does not handle changes made by Serviio properly. New devices have better code and have addressed most issues in this new technology. In my case I have the latest firmware on my SONY device, although the player is no longer being support. So I either buy a new player, or I swear a lot and restart everything. Both will work.
