Serviio 0.6.2 > 1.0.1 upgrade?

Been using serviio for some time and its been an excellent app for streaming music and video (xvid/divx) to my Sony TV (KDL32EX503 on Sony Bravia 2010 profile) from a WIn7 x64 box with IntelQuad2.33, 8GB, WiredEthernet 10MB Cable).

However MKV/MP4/m2ts have always been a bit of an issue, for example no video but sound, video but no sound and video with sound but out of sync (particularly on MP4).

At the moment i am considering whether or not 0.6.2 is the problem and if 1.0.1 will fix it , or the HD format/tv is causing the problem, all play fine on PC.

However, I am aware that 1.0.1 is available but I would rather not constantly see the 1.0.1 update prompt and serviio window at startup - without stopping the serviio services altogether at startup - can you advice on how to stop the update prompt please.

An option to stop the upgrade prompt was added in 1.0, there is no way to turn it off on older versions.

As long as you copy the /library folder you can easily revert back if you have problems, but 1.0.1 should have fixed most of the problems with 1.0 that weren't picked up during beta testing.

hi,

i have a KDL32EX500 (which i think is strictly same TV as you , only the color is different) and with Servioo i don't have any problems , i can stream all the videos i have (MKV / M2TS / AVI , no MP4) , by the way this is the only software able to do that , even Sony officially support Serviio :)

so i don't understand why you have all this problems , i tested all the versions starting 0.5.x up to 1.01 and everything has always been ok (except with Windows Server 2012 and i just created a topic for that)

Rgds,
