Log File Gets to Big

Hi,

Just started using Serviio today. Running on Windows 7. I have it set to keep a detailed log in the config file.

The log file is growing too big, as it seems to be ignoring the 500kb limit in the config file. The first log file was 153mb when I deleted it. As I'm typing this I see the new one has already grown to over 5mb.

Any idea what's going on?

try dowloading the latest Log4j (http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/download.html) and replace the jar in Serviio's lib folder with the new one. Then restart the service and see if it helps.

Unfortunately, that didn't work.

Ok, I'll try to split the server and console logging in 1.0 to see if it fixes it.

Great!

By the way, this is a pretty awesome piece of software. I've been trying a lot of different media servers the last few days. and this is, by far, the one I like the most.

I'll just remember to keep an eye on the log file size until someone has an idea to fix it.

If you don't currently have any other problems (other than the log growing too much which is very odd), then you could set everything to ERROR in the log config file which should limit the growth rate.

I set the config file to its original setting. Now, oddly enough, it's not keeping a log at all. The log file remained empty after leaving the server running overnight.
