Serviio

Hi, Im only new here, I was using Nero homemedia as my DLNA server but due to the usual problems etc, I searched for something better and serviio came up. I have downloaded it, checked my system 1st and is easily up to scatch. But for some reason when I try to launch the serviio console all I get is a error message "cannot connect to serviio server, it does not seem to be running. exiting..."
can anyone help me?? Im by no means a guru of computers,but know enough to get myself in trouble
if there is a help topic refering to this can someone please point me in the right direction...
