[Solved] Not able to see live Streams

You may have to modify the profile you use or use a different one. Initially I had roughly the same success rate, only a handful of streams that worked, but when I tested the streams with ffmpeg they were fine. Turns out that my Samsung BD-6500 apparently doesn't support the same formats as a D-series TV, so I modified the profile to enable transcoding. This isn't an ideal solution, my server and/or network sometimes struggles to keep up, but now most of the streams work.
When I get the time I will investigate this further to see if there maybe is a better way to fix this.

So how would I go about modifying my profile. Is there a WIKI that you can point me towards or some instructions on how to do it.

Thanks :)

Is there anyone else that has experienced this and can offer some help or point me to where I can find the information needed.

Without an example of the problem stream and the corresponding log and ffmpeg/mediainfo output, there is not any defined prbem that anyone can help you to solve. The problem solving steps are well documented in various posts/the wiki/singatures and the serviio dovumentation(click on the big SERVIIO above.

There is some info in this thread http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5569 regarding the profile issue that affected my BD-player (BD-6500).
I had to reverse the change made recently in the profile for Samsung C/D-series to get things working. Before I was unable to watch anything coming from tvsector.com for instance.
I haven't had time to do a proper investigation to isolate what kind of streams work or not with the default setting of the profile, I would love to figure out some way that I could watch these channels without transcoding since it seems to make things a bit unstable.

I finally got the live steams (RSS) feeds to work. I uninstalled Serviio and then reinstalled Java then Serviio. Followed the steps in the RSS Feeds thread, put in the plugins and the 2 test feeds and they worked.

Added the RSS feeds from the list of 19 maintained feeds and they worked. Great system.

Thank you

James
