steep learning curve for me. worth it though.
samsung d500 series and running servio on three ubuntu stations,(different builds) on my LAN,
would advise anyone who has any difficulty to set "debug on" as advised many times on here. It is the only way to SEE what is going on.
I used the wiki to the letter and re read it several times, I downloaded the precompiled tar but got in a muddle installing it., so I used the long method exactly as described. After some further research I found that librtmp0 had been overlooked by me . Once I had that in via synaptic i was away. The wiki does say make sure librtmp0 is installed but I assumed it was in the "get" command line.
Anyway long and short is keep reading the wiki and forum, double check and double check again the install advice.
