Was working great still better than allshare

my setup is wireless with linksys e4200 router Samsung tv un55d60003sfxza Samsung BD d600 blue-ray player which i use to connect to my network. running windows 7. was working great then I had to return my PC for the same one. since I set everything up again i get "Device disconnected" after a few minutes of play. i am running 0.6.2 now but on the other system I was running 0.6.1. set the debug log but have no clue what im looking at. the good thing is that it connects right back by simply selecting eh device again on the play. wish i cold get this working again. as far as i know i have the same setup as before. never had to touch router or firewall settings to get it working. any help would be appreciated. Also wondering if i should post in the support forum because i notice a lot of post that do not get answered over there. thanks for the great software. I hope i can get it working right again.

yep that has been answered before by myself and its due to a bug in the wireless access for the samsung BDP, that is better if you run the latest firmware on it ( not completely fixed ) it also wont happen if device is wired rather than wireless.

Re: Was working great still better than allshare

I posted my setup/devices above but not sure what else you need. I did notice in the serviio console that i have multiple instances of the Samsung blue ray player device all on different IP's. before i restarted it ran for 2 hrs before the disconnect. the log is attached. Thanks!

Re: Was working great still better than allshare

if you are having multiple IP addresses you should make your IP addresses static.

should i do that in the router settings? I removed all of the devices and did a refresh and now the TV/Player isn't even showing up even though it is streaming fine at the moment. how did the log look? did it show anything?

yes you need to set prefered/reserved IPs for each device on the router. see my previous comment about the disconnects.

Thanks, I will figure out how to do that and test it out. I'm not sure why nothing is showing up in the render list. I guess it will after reboot my system.

I set the IP to reserved on my router. I noticed in the network settings on the blue ray player it had an option to make set the ip manually. do i need to set it up there as well or is it fine just setting it as reserved on my router? I guess i can check back to see if that changes on the player after a shut it down.
