INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

I am trying to use Serviio with sony 32EX520 TV and D-Link DSM 320 Media Player. I have ticked all the Library boxes as advised in this Forum. I find the audio files all seem to download from the My Music folder OK, but only one Image folder (which shows No Content) has downloaded - there are many more folders in the My Pictures master folder. Can anyone advise what to do? How do you tell that Serviio is actively finding the files requested? (other media servers I have used all seem to show this action as it happens).

Re: INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

you can look at the serviio.log file in the log directory or in the serviio console you can see the status.

Re: INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

That's a help, thanks. But can anyone explain why music files download but not .jpg's?

Re: INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

what's the resolution of the JPGs? Check the log to see if all your music files have been added, it adds file in the same order you specify them (folders) in the console

With the detailed logging file (see signature link) we could probably explain why...

Re: INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

Petr,

Yes, it appears all the music files have downloaded.

The jpg's vary from 10Mpixels down to 250kB. Is there a size limit? I am used to the media server apparently re-sizing for viewing on the TV; at least that's what I think happens as I have not run up against a size restriction before.

Re: INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

Hi Petr,

Further to above, I have tested using an Image folder containing files no larger than 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Folder is found but no content files get downloaded.

Re: INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

Yes. I change the log to the DEBUG status. I am not literate in interpreting the log, but a careful reading doesn't seem to show anything resembling my Image files,

Re: INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

That would probably be earlier/later in the log. Try to rename an image file and check the log then (after like 5 mins)

What has changed? Do I need to do anything in the future?

Many thanks for your perseverance,

Re: INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

Not sure ;-) Maybe it just took some time. In the log it only shows browsing for files, not file additions.

Re: INCOMPLETE LIBRARY UPDATE

I also have a problem with the update information on file. I use a Sony BDV-E 380 device and connected to serviio. But when I add files, they do not appear. Also the button force refresh is not applicable. When I push the button show status I never see green lights. For me very complicated to understand. Also did not find documentation. Any ideas for me?
