Oppo Blu-ray player and Bookmarks (auto resume from stopped)

Hello Serviio forum,

This is great software and I use it with my Oppo BDP-95 blu-ray player to play full length HD movies in the .ts format (mpeg transport stream) and I am very well pleased. Many handy features of the player work great wth Serviio, such as skip ahead and skip back with 5 incriments of increased speed, and even the A-B function works where a section of the movie will loop over and over. But I have to use the generic profile because there is no entry for Oppo in the status tab of the console's drop-down list, even though the web site says it supports Oppo BDP-83 http://serviio.org/features I figured the Oppo 83 would be a close enough match for my player but I can not find Oppo anywhere. Is there a reason I'm not aware of why it doesn't appear? I'm using the latest version of Serviio, 1.4.1.2 (as of this writing) under Ubuntu Linux.

I know the subject of bookmarks has been discussed in this forum, where one can resume a movie if it was completely stopped previously, but I would LOVE for bookmarks to be implimented for my Oppo player. My player does indeed use bookmarks when playing Blu-ray disks or DVDs which enable me to resume a movie even if the disk has been removed from the player so I'm assuming bookmarks for my .ts files would use the same pop-up window that Blu-rays and DVDs use (resume or start over) from the player itself.

I just thought I would mention the above things to this forum in the hope of being enlightened.

Best regards,
Roy

Re: Oppo Blu-ray player and Bookmarks (auto resume from stop

Normally it's up to the player to remember where they left off
