Serviio

Hello everyone,

I just want to tell you that i downloaded Serviio a few weeks ago... this is just the best Media Server i've tried.

I tried WMP, Nero media Home 4, PS3 media server, Universal media server, etc.

I like the "profile" system for each TV or stuff. I'm using Serviio with WDTV live hub and my Toshiba TV (thoshiba TV profile must be selected, Generic DLNA profile doesn't work with my TV)

There are just 2 things i don't unterstand :

- I'm using Windows 8.1 and i can't make Serviio console start when windows start (but the serviio service start...)
- With .srt subtiles i can't increase the font size (whereas i could with Universal media server)

Can't answer the srt question, but to start the console automatically on login, you need to copy the Console menu shortcut into your startup folder.



If multiple people log onto the computer, and you want them all to have the console start on login, the location to put the shortcut is

I tried to put Serviio console shorcut in both path but it doesn't work. I don't know why. Adminitrator mode is enabled and i see that serviio console is activate when i press ctrl+alt+supp (starting program) but not in running program when windows starts...

Are you sure its not running as a minimised task in your system tray (generally located in the bottom left hand corner of your desktop)?

Yes i'm sure, there is no serviio icon in the system tray when my computer starts.

Then, when i open serviio console, it doesn't tell me that serviio console is already open. It just open normally and i see the icon in the system tray...

i don't unterstand why
