Samsung Series 6 tv user - works decently :)
Recently got myself a Samsung series 6 Smart TV, streaming some video to it from Mac OS computer over ethernet.
Works great, quality noticeably better than on previous TV and comparable to when i stream from my laptop by directly plugging in an HDMI cable, so Serviio definitely does what i want it to do
There are two minor issues:
1) MKV files don't do seeking. I understand that this is a header issue and that i need to "remux" these files before streaming them through Serviio, but i was wondering if i could somehow automate this process, because manually doing it every time an MKV appears on my computer is a pain
. If anyone has any tips for that, no matter how technically complex, it'd be greatly appreciated.
2) Subtitles are only presented as plain text, occasionally with technical tags if the subtitle was intended to be styled in some special way. Not sure if this is fixable, but it would be awesome if there was any way to get around this issue and present the subtitles as they would be on my computer (using MPlayerX 1.0.14 in default config).
