So, i setup Serviio on my home server. Everything workout smoothly. I can access serviio content from my iphone using MediaConnect as long as i'm in the home network (wifi). now mediaconnect does not have an option to add a server manually using IP or URL. so when i go out i can't access the media on the iphone. I can access it from a remote computer using using mediabrowser on a web browser. but safari on iphone can't browse the mediabrowser. not even photos.

please let me know if you know any app that does it.
I see someone started mediabrowser for ios years ago
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=8270
but i couldn't find any other reference to it

Media Connect finds your Serviio automatically.

But you can follow: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4082

yes it does. but only in the home network. but when i'm outside and try to connect over the internet Media connect doesnot find Serviio anymore.

I'm trying another app called "PlayerXtreme". this app does have option to connect to a media server by IP address.
it looks like, it support smb protocol. now, when i access Serviio on the mediabrowser it only ask for the password but this application ask for a user id and password.

So whats the default user id for Serviio? on the Serviio Console (remote tab) i see option to set password but no user Id :(

the smb username/password is different to Serviios credentials. I doubt you will be able to use this app. 1.3 shold add support for iOS devices, although on the iPhone it might look a bit clunky (iPad will be better)
