Removing metadata

I have all the series and films in my Serviio library named with the appropriate date for the series/film, and that works fine for searching by Series and Movies. However, I have quite a number of other videos (sports programs, music concerts, etc) also in the library, in separate folders. I noticed that these videos were showing up under Movies, so I went to the settings for those folders under Library in the Serviio console and unticked the option to "Retrieve descriptive metadata", saved the changes, then went to the Metadata tab and asked Serviio to rescan video metadata. It's now a couple of days since I made this change, but these videos are still showing up when I browse Movies.

How can I stop them showing up there? It looks like Serviio doesn't remove metadata for videos in those folders once it has created some. Do I have to somehow delete all existing metadata and then tell Serviio to rescan video metadata? If so, how do I delete all the existing metadata?

There's really no way to do that. If Serviio doesn't recognize a video as a TV series, it places it under Movies. It really doesn't have any other options. It only has two places to list them, either as a movie or series episode. There is no "uncategorized' presentation, so it has to be placed somewhere. I have a number of test videos and have done as you have, a separate folder that don't retrieve metadata. They still appear under the Titles and Movies presentations and there's no way to put them anywhere else.
