accents or punctuation?

Hello,
Some French movies are declared as unknown file type: e.g.
commando de l'ombre.avi
or
war inc (...).avi.
Is it a problem of accents or punctuation?
How to fix it?

p.s. I removed the accents, but the files are always ignored...

Re: accents or punctuation?

Remember that the file type (in your case AVI) is merely a container. Within that container are video and audio codecs, and sometimes those codecs are some oddball type that Serviio doesn't recognize. In my signature line is a link that can help you find out what is within your file containers, and then we can possibly determine the issue. Post the results of that process and we'll see what we can do.
