Cannot connect to the server

Hello,

I use Windows 10 and Serviio 2.2.1

When i launch serviio console, i ha ve alwayes this message : Cannot connect to the server. It doesn't seems to be runnig

Can you help me ?

Let's check a couple of things. First if you open the Services applet, does it show a Serviio service installed, and if so is it running? The applet shows what's running.

Assuming it's there and running: can you open the console from a different computer on your home network? Using either the computer name or IP address, it would be http://name or address:23423/console

If the console works from the web browser, I'd suggest not messing with anything like a remove/reinstall, as that's time consuming. Just open the console from the browser. If you're on the Serviio computer, you can just use http://localhost:23423/console

If the service isn't running, you can try to start it manually. If it won't start, the Serviio log would be helpful to determine the problem. If the service isn't even listed in the Services applet, then you should uninstall Serviio, reboot, then install it again. Something didn't go correctly when it was installed.
