Can't find user creation option

Hi guys,

I have just upgraded my 1.10.1 to 2.0 and would like to test the user control (as well as the MediaBrowser access) but I'm unable to find where to create the users...

Am I blind? :-)

Thanks

Carlos

Open Start Menu
Launch Serviio Console (Not Open Serviio Console, which will open in a web browser, you want the standalone app.)
Users option will be on the left panel

Enjoy,

Todd

Doesn't matter if it's the browser page or the app, the Users function is available in both. However, after an upgrade your browser might have some old code in the cache, and it makes the page display incorrectly. If you don't see Users in the left column, try clearing your browser cache.

That was actually the issue. Despite the "clearing" I did just following the install, the option was not there.
After a pretty ugly bout with the console app (for windows), I checked the page and the option was there. Thanks!

What I can't understand is why it was so difficult to access the Serviio server running on "Linux" (on a Raspberry Pi) from an Windows machine. And why there's not a standalone installation for the console...

But thanks, man!

Many versions ago the console was switched to a browser based version. The "app" is really just something that connects to the same web page that is available via a web browser. I have a test version of Serviio running on a Linux Mint install, and never had an issue connecting to the console from my Windows computers. I have no idea what, but it sounds like something in your install didn't go right. Glad you have it working now.

Yeah, I figured that... I never had the need to run the console app but that was the presented suggestion... So, I tried it... :D

Despite the fact that the only thing I changed from the "NNF" approach was the destination folder, I also don't know. But that's Win10 we're talking about and anything is possible...

Thanks again, guys, for the help! ;)

Hello. I'm trying to find a way to setup users on my QNAP NAS. Doesn't have a start menu so I'm probably missing something.

You connect to the Serviio console via a web browser on any computer on your network. Use the IP address of your NAS and connect to http://ip_address:23423/console.

Clearing your browser cache will most likely fix this.

Thank you, clearing cache fixed it.
