ServiioService.exe high usage for the past 6 hours?

Hello,

I've been getting high CPU usage from ServiioService.exe for the past 4-5 days but I didn't bother that much then. Today I decided to leave the computer idle so this service has time to complete its work. Surprisingly after 6 hours the service is still working and keeping busy 100% of my CPU. My computer is quite powerful so there is no chance that I have to leave it for another 6 hours for example.

If I kill the service then it comes back on the next restart and disabling it isnt the right solution I suppose.

My computer runs Windows 10 Pro and here are my specs:

Core i7 6700K stock
16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz
4x HDDs and 1x M.2 nand evo Pro 950 SSD

EDIT: Ive now enabled debug log level and restart the service. I will update the post with the logs once I start getting high usage again.

Re: ServiioService.exe high usage for the past 6 hours?

hi, I have the same issue, with almost identical config... Win 10 Pro, M.2 950 SSD samsung, i7 6700K. Using Serviio for a few years, then bought new ssd, changed from win7 to win 10, and since then CPU is getting 80-100% from serviioservice.exe. Starts mostly few minutes after reboot, with no end, have to either kill the process or restart PC.
Tried a few older versions, tried with different antivirus (AVG and Avast).
I have some folders in the library, but it did the same when my library was empty, right after I reinstalled windows then Serviio. Let me know what info do you need, I'd appreciate any help, this is one my all time favorite applications.

Re: ServiioService.exe high usage for the past 6 hours?

The same issue on my pc (Windows 10 64)

It starts after about 20-30 min pc running and it uses 100 % cpu time. If I kill the service and start it new the same. After a little time running ok the process uses 100 % CPU

Is the a fix? Should I change the serviio build-in java ?

Greetings from germany and sorry for a bad old schoool english

Re: ServiioService.exe high usage for the past 6 hours?

yes, it is probably win10 related, as when I log in with win7 (same PC, primary drive is different, but also SSD) I dont have the issue. Tried even removing serviio, removed java, reinstalled serviio. same.
Tried a few other dlna apps, no issues with them - but they are all inferior to serviio, obviously ;)

It would be helpful if we could see a detailed log (click on link to see how to set up) to see what is happening. If you monitor the log in Notepad++ you should/may see what Serviio is doing during the high CPU period.

I made a log and i couldn't find anything unnormal. But the service "ServiioService.exe" , from one second to another, switched from normal CPU usage to 100 % usage. Servioo was on standby the whole time.

And now I found out thats is a problem of ther version: I grade down to Serviio V1.6 and everything runs perfect. No high CPU usage fpr the service any more.
