Two instances of serviio.exe

My serviio console can't stop the server. Instead it just hangs. When I check running services I find two instances of the service running. Is this normal? I can't kill or stop anything.

Re: Two instances of serviio.exe

When did this start happening? Did you install/upgrade recently?

Re: Two instances of serviio.exe

It's a new install (I'm new to serviio).

ServiioService.exe is listed two times under processes in task manager. One taking around 90k, the other 500k memory. Is this how it is supposed to be?

I saw it on some machines, and it's fine.

Re: Two instances of serviio.exe

Allright. Serviio's not working quite as it's supposed to, I think.

It's instlalled on a windows 2008 server with 3 nics, two of which are bridged. It's to this interface I want it to listen.

The bridge has IP 192.168.1.1, the one I don't want it to bind to is 192.168.10.99.

Now my serviio console shows that it sees my PS3 at 192.168.1.105 and and this computer which I type on now at 192.168.1.2. The Panasonic TV at 192.168.1.101 does not show up.

Several times yesterday the TV showed up twice - one as Generic DLNA profile, and then a second time (with the same IP) as Panasonic profile. Now the TV can't see Serviio, nor the PS3. I can connect to the Serviio console at 192.168.1.1:23424/mediabrowser and stream videos.

The serviio console can't stop the server. Id I press stop the console locks up, and I have to kill it.

Re: Two instances of serviio.exe

Did you select the proper NIC to bind to in the console?

Yes, I've chosen the bridge.

So can any device see Serviio (TV or PS3)?

i am seeing this also - in windows 10 task manager. both entries' properties have the same file location

I only have one network card in this PC.

in ccleaner tools start up tab, there are no relevant entries;
in services.msc there is only a single entry: set to automatic. C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin\ServiioService.exe

so why are there 2 start up entries and is it a potential problem, or something to ignore ?

I happened to look at this only because I got the windows nag about checking and reducing number of start up programs,

on the actual task manager - services tab there is just the one serviio service
