VLC Android App as Player
I've been wanting to use VLC's app as a replacement media player on my Sony Android TV.
It works fine for local content, but when I pull up the 'Local Network' folder I see Serviio and all the directories I'm sharing, but not a single media file.
I had assumed the issue was VLC since Serviio is such a solid piece of software, but toying with Plex last night as a replacement DLNA server, all files showed up without any special effort.
What is Serviio doing different? Isn't DLNA a standardized protocol?
