Series are gone

After using Serviio 1.4 for many years I decided to update to the latest version 1.6.1. and activate the Pro license. Everything was okay for a few hours but 24 hours later all the Series and Movies are empty lists, all are still there and playable from the Folders view. Any ideas?
Re: Series are gone
Check you presentation settings to ensure the categories for Totles, Series, etc are enabled.
If so, then this suggests you are not getting metadata information. Check the settings for this in the Metadata section of Serviio Console (suggest setting to Online metatdata sources).
If still not working check your detailed log to see what is happening.

Re: Series are gone
Part of the problem is probably self inflicted since all the series where there initially after the upgrade but I changed the Metadata section to Swisscenter. Now since I changed it back to Online metatdata sources many of the series but not all returned. All the missing series show up under the Title and Folders sections but are no longer recognized as a Series. I tried turning on Debug logging but I see nothing unusual. Should I try to remove those folders and add them back again after they are dropped from the database? All the missing Series are stored on one particular network share.
Re: Series are gone
If they are appearing in Title (presumably as some incorrect Movie name) then it means that Serviio is not matching the path+file name to the correct title. See http://www.serviio.org/component/conten ... extraction particulary the bit on file naming for series.
If they appear in Folders only, then once again it could mean that its not matched (to any title this time rather than to an incorrect title) or it could mean the online source was unavailable. Checking a detailed log will tell you.
Filebot can be used to help you name files correctly for online meta-data matching.
Otherwise send through the path and file-name of one not being matched and I'll try and work out why not.

Re: Series are gone
Thanks for all your help. It took about 72 hours but eventually everything came back and is correctly identified, I guess it was just too big of a library to recover any quicker. I'm still not sure why everything disappeared to begin with but presumably because I changed the Metadata source over to Swisscenter for a day.
