Evening folks, need some help here.

Let me explain my situation: i have 2 routers on my pc. One that's a ADSL modem/router(technicolor td5136v2) and another one that's just a router (D-LINK 524). The first one is of course connected to my pc, and also do the D-LINK router, which is where my LAN is configured.

Whats happening is: servioo wont recognize the D-LINK router, which is what i need it to do, cause that's where my LAN is configured. It only recognizes the modem that's connected directly to my network controller (on my pc).

I tried editing the .vmoptions file with the following line: -D<serviio.boundAddr>192.168.1.1<serviio.boundAddr> , that ip address beeing the D-LINK router, where LAN is configured. It didnt change anything...

Any ideas on what else should i do to get it to work?

Two routers is never a good idea unless you really know the what you are doing (the ins and outs of networking). I assume you are using the second router to provide more ports for your LAN.

What I recommend is that the second router be turned into a LAN Switch. To do this (the first three steps are optional):

1. Log into your td5136v2 router and find the LAN address range of this router (it will be something like 192.168.1.0 to 192.168.1.254, or 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.254)
2. Log into your DLINK router and reset it - once reset log back into the DLINK
3. Assign a new IP address to the DLINK router from the address range in step 1. This is simply to assist you in logging into the DLINK in the future if needed. Pick a spare address that you will remember (eg 192.168.1.100 - but it must be in the range discovered in step 1)
4. Disable DHCP (in the LAN settings in the router) on the DLINK.
5. Remove the cable from WAN port of the D-LINK (the one that connects to the td5136v2), and plug it back in a spare LAN port on the D-LINK.

After doing so, make sure you restart all of your connected devices so that they get a new IP address (which will be now be issued from your td5136v2). This will put all devices on a common LAN (all LAN ports on either router will be on the same LAN), which is essential for Serviio to work properly.

The only problem with the above approach is that this uses an additional LAN port on the DLINK - if you don't have any spare then we will need to go to plan B (turning your second router into a bridge).
