1.6.1 questions

I've noticed a couple of weird things running 1.6.1 on Linux, apart from it not being able to add new media files to the database (which I'm still troubleshooting).

1. Running serviio.sh -stop no longer seems to stop serviio all the time. More often than not, I have to manually kill the process instead.

2. I've noticed that although the serviio process starts, the media server has to be manually started via the console, or so I thought. I didn't start it and later watched some content on the TV via Serviio (without thinking about the server not being started). Only now, looking at the console again, I've noticed that the media server is still stopped yet I was able to watch files served by Serviio.

Am I missing something?

Re: 1.6.1 questions

Solved.

The problems I was having were due to the fact that I was running libav in place of ffmpeg as it was deprecated in Debian/Ubuntu when I first started using Serviio. I've now discovered that they switched back to ffmpeg mid last year.

I've now installed ffmpeg and Serviio now works as it should.
