That icon only existed before version 1.6. The icon was only shown when the console was running. If you did not auto start the console during login (which always loaded minimized), the icon wasn't there at all.
Serviio no longer includes a separate Java console application, but instead uses a web based console. Serviio now includes a new console app that runs within a Chrome wrapper, but it is only to access the web interface. You can open your normal browser and go to
http://localhost:23423/console and open the console that way. You can also access the console from another computer on your network by changing localhost to the computer name or IP address.
And no, this isn't a step backwards. It has made Serviio administration easier, and simplified the programming required to make changes/improvements to the console.
