Presentation Elements - translation and / or deactivation

Hi,

i switch after many years from mezzmo to serviio because serviio coders have made many many changes since the last 5,6 years but
there is still one thing i dislike on serviio ... The Presentation Option.

So my Question is, how can i translate it to german or how to disable things like [Video/Folders] on the Screen ???

My Settings are (Movies): Display Content Only | Folders (Display Content Only) | Last Viewed (Display Content Only) | Everything else deactivated

So i want to translate "Folders" and "Last Viewed" and other Elements to German and disable [Videos/Folder] on Screen.

Please can someone help me ?? I don´t want to Change again to another MediaServer !

with kind regards

how can i translate it to german
Doesn't the "Select preferred language of the browsing menu" option on the Presentation tab of Serviio Console do this for you (select 'Deutsch' as the language and press Save)?
how to disable things like [Video/Folders] on the Screen
What you're doing should work (I will test on my setup when I get home) unless... this only works for DLNA connected devices (TV's, BluRay devices, etc), not for MediaBrowser. MediaBrowser doesn't honour the "Display Content Only" setting.

Hi and thanks for replay,

no the Language of the Presentationelemenst doesn´t change to german. only the console makes a switch, so i´ve tried to find out which file is responsable for these elements shown on the TV.
Couldn´t find any so i think it´s inside of any .jar files and so i think it´s nessesary to edit the source files. But i don´t want to decompile all files till i found the right one :) (i hope you understud what i mean).

Just any config file i could not find for these.

And i do not use the MediaBrowser, we only use it on Smart-TVs :)

greetings

Re: Presentation Elements - translation and / or deactivatio

Hmm... if I change the language on the Presentation tab (toward the bottom of the screen, underneath all the various categories) it certainly changes the language of the menu items on my Panasonic Viera TV (I get Filme for example instead of movies, Ordner instead of Folders, etc). Note that it doesn't translate the actual folder names under "Ordner" - Serviio displays them as they are in your OS.

Similarly, if I set "Display Content Only" for the Folders category, then I do not get the "Ordner" category at all on my TV - I simply get the the name of my folders (in English as explained above, these will not be translated) listed under the "Filme" category.

At the risk of insulting... you are pressing "Save" after making changes to the Presentation settings tab? Other than that, I'm at a loss as to why this wouldn't work for you.

<Edit> Some TV's cache information, so you may need to flush its cache (delete the Serviio Server, and allow it to be re-found).
