upgrade to 1.6 problems

I have a sony BDP-S370/BX37, the profile selected is Sony BDP-Sx70/SMP-N100 (2010) - US

I have a WD MyCloud NAS. I have a drive mapped under W10. The drive is public.

I am running 1.6 on a W10 laptop with excellent WiFi coverage / speed.

The Sony BR is connected via Ethernet to the router.

I saw that 1.6 had been released. I had 1.52 which worked "ok" .......often I would have to restart W10 / Serviio serveral times to get the BR to see the server.

1) The Serviio console icon no longer shows in the task tray. It does not show in the Task Manaager. 1.52 was shown in Task Manager as enabled and showed up in the tray.

2) The Shared folders says it is not connected to the NAS ( listed as \\hindersmycloud\movies mapped in W10 as drive M) . If I try to browse , the mapped drive (M) is not listed /shown (in fact none of the NAS drives are listed)

<< fixed>> I 2x checked the serviivo services, and re-set the access to be the same as the NAS admin (me!), now Serviio shows that it has access to the NAS

3) The folders / movies show on the BR, I can browse ........go up down.....and the files show ok

4) Selection of a file that previously played now says "corrupt or unsupported"

<< fixed (somewhat)>> now get an error of "can not communicate with the server try again later", Adding that the console shows the Sony, but has a "?" in the first column.

<fixed> I turned OFF transcoding, all files play. That leaves the "no Task Bar" as an open Q.

I'd rather not go back to 1.52.....but if that is the recommendation, what are the steps?

Item 2 is fixed, and item 3 seems to be a statement... which leaves only item 1 and 4 (somewhat), correct?

For item 1, see: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=21579
If item 4 persists, first check the profile assigned to your device is actually the IP of your device, and post a detailed log.

Thanks, I updated my post to say that turning off transcoding has fixed the files not playing.

The only open issue is that the Console does not show up in the Task Bar, nor in the Task Manager ........ perhaps this is a "feature" not a "bug" ??

Yes, it's a feature. The console is now a web (browser) based application. There is no longer a system tray icon - see http://www.serviio.org/news/91-version-1-6-released.
