Subtitle files and Hisense TV

Hello everyone,
I use Serviio to stream from my PC to my smart Tv (Hisense K321 55) Everything works perfectly fine but i tried to add subtitle files to some movies, i did all the settings correctly but after adding the subtitle file the movie won't play at all
If i remove the subtitle file the movie works just fine
Is there anyway that i can solve this issue, i tried everything that i know but nothing worked out
Note that the files i use are working fine on my PC
Thank you in advance :)
Sharbel

Re: Subtitle files and Hisense TV

What profile are you using for the TV?
What are your settings on your Delivery, Subtitles tab on Serviio console?

I was using UTF-8 in the subtitle delivery but the movie would never play on TV unless i disable the subtitle

Re: Subtitle files and Hisense TV

Now i only have the subtitle enable tab checked, that's the only way the video file is playing on TV

Re: Subtitle files and Hisense TV

Probably the TV doesn't support soft subs, so you'll have to enable Hardsubs in the console. That will invoke transcoding.. which looks like the TV has problems with.
