Serviio 1.6 not honoring Display Content Only on Folders

The Display Content Only option on Folders is not working in version 1.6 of Serviio. I recently upgraded to Serviio 1.6. To make sure there were no incompatibilities, I decided to start fresh so I uninstalled the previous version completely and started with a fresh install with a fresh database. I have the Video section set up with Display Category on the video top level and all groups disabled except Folders which I have set up as Display Content Only. When I browse videos in Serviio 1.6, I see the Folders folder and have to click into it to see all of my video folders. In the previous version, with Folders set to Display Content Only, when I chose videos, I would immediately see all of my video folders without having to navigate into Folders first.

I did some more testing. This only seems to be happening when using the MediaBrowser. Browsing Serviio using a DLNA client or ServiiGo honors the Display Content Only setting.

Yes, this is a known limitation. From the Release Notes for version 1.5 (prior to this, the Presentation settings were totally ignored by MediaBrowser):

• MediaBrowser now uses the Presentation settings (Display and Disabled only) (Pro only)

afaik there are no plans to expand this functionality, however you can always request it.
